Yay! Finally, the first show! Quite soon by the way, but considering the series is 13 episodes (sadly) long, it's ok. What else to say, this episode was made for Mio-chan fans, wich I include myself into. There is so much kawaii Mio, moe Mio, Mio, Mio and more Mio! :3It's finally the 学園祭 (school festival), and the first show of the Keion-bu. All are busy with their classroom schedules, except Mio that is extremely nervous thinking she won't be able to sing in front of all the students.
Yui cooks at a yakisoba stand, and Ritcchan works in the counter of a Mansion of Horror game, where Mugi-chan acts (and of course, Mio has to enter that sca~ry place to meet Mugi).
Failed in recruiting the rest of the band to practice before the show, she practices alone in the music room (showing more of his
そろそろ, the time has come. Sawako-sensei pops up some new and gorgeous costumes, wich obviously makes Mio more nervous. And once again, another dosis for Mio lovers, a flashback of Ricchan and Mio 小学校の頃, to let us see how cute she was when little (Did I say this episode has a lot of Mio?)
The song was good, but not at the level of the Op or Ed themes. Also, they showed sort kind of dreamlike MV instead of the band playing the istruments (wich was what I more wanted to see). That was kinda disappointing, I wanted to see Mio singing, some fingers moving at the frets, and some cool Ricchan bridges, like in BECK, Nana, or the concert episode of Suzumiyha Haruhi. There where just a couple of shots showing the band playing on the "MV".
But can't complain, they give something way more interesting. The concert was a success, Mio was in heaven with happiness, but then a very nice "bowl" breaks the moment and draws Mio even more shy.

This was an awesome episode, full of Mio!. I expected K-ON! to be at least a 2-season run, but it only has 13 episodes. I hope the last 7 ones to go smoothly and more interesting!
And another concert scene showing the band playing!

Yea I was very disappointed that we did get to see the band play. Felt kind of cheated in fact, here was this big build up to the performance and then we don't get to see the band play at all.
